Financing your log home is much the same as any other construction loan or permanent mortgage. Local mortgage lenders and credit unions can process your loan. There are also national log home lenders who work specifically with log home construction. Your Old Timer Log Homes representative will be more than happy to provide your lender with any information needed to secure your loan.
Pre-Qualification
This is the first step in financing and will give you a ballpark figure of what you will be able to afford.
The Application
Lenders will want you to provide them with bank statements, tax returns, credit reports, and employment verification.
You must submit building plans, specifications, complete cost estimates, and a sales contract for your log home package.
