Log Wall Assembly

Log Wall Joinery System

Old Timer’s four-way joinery system incorporates a single tongue and groove, OlyLog fasteners, Emseal gasket and Energy Seal caulk to create a weather-tight seal.

Emseal expanding gasket is placed on top of the tongue. Two beads of Energy Seal caulk is run on each side of the tongue. A level is used to keep logs plumb. Olylog fasteners are set 2’ to 2-1/2’ feet on the inside and outside of the tongue.

Log Butt Joints

Log ends are sealed by applying two vertical beads of Energy Seal caulk on the log end and joining together. Each joint is then drilled in the center of the tongue. Energy Seal caulk is applied and a 7/8" hardwood dowel is driven into the hole.
