We take the quality of our products here at Eagle River
and Old Timer Log Homes very seriously. It is the job of our Customer
Satisfaction Verification Department, or CSV, to be sure that every
customer is satisfied with their purchase, whether it is two beams
or two houses.
Quality
log homes begin with quality logs, and Old Timer Log Homes has purchasing
requirements. Our vendors are informed that we accept: no rot, no
more than pencil wane, no worm tracings, only tight knots, and no
shake or timber breaks.
We
are members of Timber Products Inspection, Inc. (TP), which is the
nation's largest independent inspection/quality control agency for
wood products. The TP log grading program requires that a manufacturer
maintains a conformance rating of 95% or better during unannounced
inspections. Failure to maintain the required ratings would result
in a loss of the right to TP grade stamps. Old Timer also grades
our product as it is run to create the end product. We stamp each
log with pride.
Upon arrival at the mill, each product is inspected by a trained
employee. A TP inspector comes to Old Timer Log Homes for on-the-premises
training of our employees.
We
have personel that check the moisture content of our kiln drying
cants while they are in the kiln to ensure they are not removed
from the kiln prematurely.
Old
Timer Log Homes trains on a weekly basis to keep our team up to
date on all requirements. Whether it is a log, or the siding to
match, or even the trim for your doors, each piece of material we
make must meet strict guidelines. Any irregularities are eliminated
and you receive only the best possible product.
A record is created and maintained as each house comes together
piece by piece. If it's your retirement home or the place where
you plan to raise your family, Old Timer Log Homes takes pride in
making sure that you receive the best. |
